Artists in Residence

Since 2017, the Seefischer Turm-Atelier has been offering artists the opportunity to be creative in the most beautiful place at the most beautiful time of year.

The idyllic surroundings of the studio – with a view of Lake Millstätter See directly on the small, private marina – are inspiring.

By appointment or on the days of the ‘open studio’, interested guests can visit the ‘artist in residence’ in the studio.

Art and culture project ‘millstART’

For four years, the millstART association has been presenting contemporary art in historical buildings – art is brought to life in Stift Millstatt, the lake and selected places.

The millstART programme enriches a range of events, including open studios, animation and cartoon films, performances and talks (art discussions).
The Seefischer Turm studio is one of the places that selected artists can use to work as ‘artists in residence’, also as part of millstART.

Guided tours of the ‘millstART’ art project are available (for groups of 4 or more, by prior arrangement).
